How to Build a Wind Turbine For Home Use

I am certain you have seen the enormous wind turbines standing majestically in hv cables fields as his or her blades develop into the wind. Have you ever consider, I wonder if I could develop a wind turbine for your kitchen at home?
The fact is definitely yes, particularly if you live in a location that has sustainable winds. By sustainable winds I mean wind which is blowing in excess of it is still. If you are uncertain about the wind locally, the us govenment has resources with maps showing annual wind speeds. Of course which causes the area even think to construct a turbine you must have enough wind to aid one.
I built my own, personal wind generator this past year and to be honest it was not as hard you may assume. I found my motor on E-Bay for a reasonable price for I wanted. After considering several different designs I tried a vertical design but sometimes not get enough rpm from that to charge my batteries. Then I invented the idea of using PVC pipe for making my design.
I did lots of research on the Internet and found a design for PVC blades that basically work great and turn with not much wind speed. My blades employ a diameter of six feet across and turn my DC motor at about 10 mph wind speed. I am having a 48 volt DC motor rated at 1100 rpm, that when turning around 300 rpm it creates a little over 12 volts DC.
I simply have my windmill at 20 feet high, but enough because during my yard there won't be any obstructions with respect to the wind flow. I am by using a charge controller which regulates the output to my batteries. Granted, owning an electrical deatailed has probably given me some what of the advantage over another person.
Below I have listed the products you will need to begin building your personal residential windmill.
DC motor-the reason behind a DC motor is that when you reverse a DC motor it's going to generate electricity.

PVC pipe-to create your blades making your turbine body.

Tower or stand-I used two-inch rigid conduit.

Batteries-I am using deep cycle batteries since they recover quickly to full storage.

Charge controller-used to the output for your batteries.

Inverter-an inverter changes DC voltage to AC house current that may then be utilized for household electrical items.

Wiring-should be performed by someone who knows what they are doing, if doubtful hire yourself an electrical contractor.
It may appear complicated in the beginning, but usually if you have the ability to produce stuff along with your hands, then I am certain that you can create your own windmill for your home.
